Carbohydrates are found in vegetables, fruits, legumes and grains. Simple carbs, such as sugar, are digested and turned into glucose. Complex carbs such as fiber are not digested at all and pass through the body. Instead of using sugar in any of it's forms (glucose, fructose, lactose or maltose), Fabe's relies on natural sweeteners such as Xylitol, and instead of grain flours we use almond flour which helps reduce the total number of net carbs or digestible carbs in our products.
